Im not sure about how to answer the first one cos you can't use F=MA as there's no acceleration and I dont know how to equate the forces to the position vector

You know that F = F1 + F2
You also know that the i component of F must be three times the j component (so as to be parallel with 3i + j).

i don't know i did f1 + f2 which gave me (4+λ)i + (μ-1)
then i made i x3 times of j but didn't get to the shown answer

That method should work. Perhaps post your working?
