Does anybody else not like going to pubs?

Yesterday I went to the pub with a mate to watch some of the cricket. The pub is in a good area where there are also students. When I got there I went to the bar and ordered the drinks, the first thing that annoyed me was that the barmaid put the payment terminal in front of me before getting the drinks (two bottles of beer), as if she suspected that I would grab them and walk away without paying. She was also pretty unfriendly and the beers were very expensive. You could get them for a third of the price at a supermarket. The next thing was that there was a table of drunk rough looking lads sitting a few tables away who looked like they had been working at a building site, and one of them kept looking over at us like he wanted a fight. After watching a bit of the cricket we left. It was all in all pretty miserable to be honest. I hardly ever go to pubs and this is just another reason why.
