I've been offered a place a St Andrews medicine course and was wondering if anyone knows of any good private accommodation in the st andrews/dundee area. I'm a bit older than the average undergrad so i'm not looking at university accom.

Pretty much all private accommodation is booked up months in advance (St A has a major student housing crisis), so if possible you should still sign up for Uni accommodation as a contingency.
East Shore and Ayton House are the private halls in St Andrews - both are full but you can ask to be put on the waitlist. Otherwise you should join the Get A Room, St Andrews FB page to keep an eye out for available flats. You can also keep an eye on spareroom in Dundee, Leuchars, Guardbridge, Cupar, and Crail for any flats/rooms.
