Simple math question

I'm doing a math question at the moment, and i'd like to check if i'm allowed to do this?

Let say 3x>0

therefore x>0, as i divide both sides by 3.

even if it's zero on the right hand side, would i be able to divide by 3 in all cases?

Yup. That's perfectly sound.

Yes. In fact zero divided by anything (other than zero) is zero.

It's dividing by zero that causes all sorts of problems.

Absolutely fine.
