Does doing the MAT (For computer science) potentially lower my offers for other uni's

I was going to apply for Oxford computer science but inevitably decided against it, I am still going to sit the MAT just for fun. I was wondering if doing so would harm my application or even potentially give me lower offers for computer science (places like Warwick). On Warwick's website they mention that people who sit the MAT can have lower offers but this is on the Mathematics undergraduate page. Does anyone know?
