Aberdeen or Edinburgh for Biomed?

Torn between the two, any advice? I've got an unconditional offer for Aberdeen and haven't heard back from Edinburgh.
Hi, this is the University of Aberdeen rep account. Thanks so much for your interest in our university! Just wanted to chime in with some general advice on making your choices, and let us know if you have any questions for us.

Firstly I would recommend having a look around this site for students of each of the unis you have offers from to see what the general consensus is.
It's also worth thinking about the cities and what appeals to you. Do you want to be close to or far away from family, do you want to be in a big or small city, are there things/places in that city that you're interested in or will be good for any hobbies you have; those sorts of factors should definitely be on your mind as well as the actual courses of each of the universities.
Then it would be worth having a look on each of our websites to see what appeals to you about the courses eg. course content, projects you will get to do through your degree, prospects upon graduation, that sort of thing. Particularly for Biomed it might be worth having a look at the facilities both of the unis have on offer too.

I'd also say that if it's an option for you visiting the campuses could be a good idea too! Gives you a good impression of what the university and the city are like. We offer campus tours and the chance to meet with academics, and you can find out more info here: https://www.abdn.ac.uk/study/campus-visit.php
And Edinburgh also have some visit information here: https://www.ed.ac.uk/visit

If visiting is not an option then getting in contact with any questions you might have is also a good shout. I hope this information has been useful and all the best with coming to a decision!
