Yes. If a management student works in a school as a TA, they will earn less than a finance student working in Tesco.

Your degree does not dictate how much you will earn and truth be told, if you are serious about earning lots of money, forget getting a job and set up your own business.

But ultimately, money does not bring happiness and those who pursue it as an end in itself are rarely content. What do you like doing? What do you enjoy? That is the way to go and if you happen to earn a good living at the same time, all the better.

It depends on many factors: firstly, on the kind of employer you work for; secondly, whether it’s in the private or public sector, and finally, what kind of role and grade you’ve applied to. Your degree alone doesn’t really define your salary.
