how can i get Dorathy Gale?

ok so my school is doing a wizard of oz play and i really want to get the part of dorathy. i have a really good kansas accent and iv asked people to be honest and even brutally honest if my singing voice is good. Ive been rated by some people saying 7 8 or 9 but idk. Does anyone have any tips?

The more confident you can be in your audition the better. Remember Dorothy has to be seen to be quite childish.

Do remember, it is the lead role, you may not get it and that might not be down to you but just that someone else did it better.
