Chemistry question help

Hi I was wondering why the answer doesnt have a NH3+ group since a small amount of concentrated acid was added too ?:

Give the structural formula of the organic compound formed when glycine reacts with methanol in the presence of a small amount of concentrated sulphuric acid.// The answer is H2NCH2COOCH3.
