my question is: how true is that? (i realise it's probably very stereotypical but can't help thinking it may be true nevertheless)

Not true at all whatsoever! I found English people lovely and very sociable.

They like Poles because we make good party companions ;p Joke^^ But honestly, no problem with making friends with Britons :smile:

Yeah, I got an offer from UCL as well... For some reason, I like Nottingham better. I used to live in London, and I wouldn't want to live there anymore. I'm actually American, and I'm going to start at Nottingham in September. I used to live in Mokotow in Warsaw, good old days. :smile:

Mokotow is one of the best districts when it comes to my opinion. Which degree are you starting? I'm waiting for my answer from UCL and I will make my decision then.
