Astronomy - energy of gas and radiation using the virial theorum
Hi there. I have been working on this question and have fallen at the last hurdle i think. I have gone through it all and used the virial theorum to get:
gravitational energy of star = - 2U/(2-B)
(Can post more working if whoever is helping wishes)
I know that I need use: E = U +gravitational energy of star
However I am anable to get the expression into the form required. Anyone got any advise on how I might do this?
N.B. thanks and if it is something stupid I apologise in advance as I am pretty tired.
