1. look at the integrals - they give the relative number of hydrogens in each environment 2. Look at the chemical shift and refer to a table - this should give you an idea of the types of environment 3. look at the splitting patters to see which groups of environments are adjacent
Hey im really stuck on protn nmr im ok when i learn it from the book but the qustions on AQA chem4 are so difficult.
i find making up structures for isomers difficult also.

i thought it was really hard too but thats cos my school teacher who taught us it is really crap!
basically, use the aqa heineman chem book (green i think) its really good. i understand it a lot better now and you'll find the Qs on NMR arent really that hard.
