Yes I am people shouldn't need to relieve themselves of such urges they should be able to control them.

I think the biggest problem is how do you know how old a cartoon character is? Will it just be deemed illegal if they are in a school uniform? But it's legal to have porn with adults wearing a school uniform. Will it be judged on breast size? I.e. if a character's breasts are too small they are considered a child. That sounds a bit insulting to women who are humble in the chest department.

What if people who are struggling with their urges feel their only choice is to harm a real child? You don't think it's a good idea to give them an alternate choice that harms no one?

I think it'll make things worse.

For example:
Normal guy gets intrigued by anime child porn - likes it - gets a real 'taste' for it - goes looking for the real thing.

It's still the same in principle, even if it is a cartoon, it's still of a child. Also, the men (and/or women?) getting off over are still more likely to visualise a real child rather than a drawing in the mind.

How about prescribing it to the people who ask for help, then applying much harsher punishments/sentences to the people who don't ask for help, but instead go and abuse a child? Not just making it illegal and readily available?

Interesting idea, but I do think that it would leak somewhere along the line. Just the whole process of actually making child-specific animation pornography would be incredibly unusual and would lack backing. As I said before, there aren't studios dedicated to this sort of thing, and even creating animation for treatment of individuals is unheard of.

It would be expensive as well- not something the average taxpayer would support in the slightest. Ooh arr me monies goin to the pedophiles.

Personally no. I dont like anime at all nevermind anime pornography or even anime child pornography.
