I've just registered for the Business Management (Accounting) course. I'm 7/8 years out of formal education but I'm actually really excited to start. I will be starting in Feb and I'm really looking forward to getting my books through. Is there anything that is blowing your mind specifically? Or is it all of it?
I am a month away from finishing my first year and so far, I'm absolutely loving it! I have been 7 years out of education but it's going good. Really excited for my 2nd year in October 22, but must admit I have looked at my two last years (4 year long degree) and I'm rather nervous of the road ahead xD
Starting DD102 (Intro to Social Sciences) in October, working towards an Open Degree after dropping out of a brick uni 21 years ago due to mental health issues. Nervous but excited.

Good luck I am sure you will do well! I dropped out of Uni around 14 years ago, due to mental health and hating the course I was doing. I tried Open Uni about 12 years ago, but it wasn't the right time for me. I restarted last October, and after applying for DSA it was the best decision I made. If you think your mental health could still affect you I would highly recommend applying for DSA before starting in October. I applied in August last year and finally got an award in December. I was allowed a specialist mentor which has helped massively! All the best for October.
Im going university this year, how is university and accomodation life? Because i may have to move out aswell.im doing a computer science degree if anyone has anything to tell me about that aswell.

Hey Guys,
Im going OU this October too, if you guys wanna join a groupchat together message me privately and Ill add you in
How credible/respected is a degree achieved through the OU compared to a degree achieved at a brick uni? Specifically looking at the Computing & IT pathway. I have noticed that the OU offers less programming modules than at a brick uni but would be nice to hear from someone who took the Computing & IT pathway or similar, would this be seen as a downside?
Also do you get the opportunity to develop soft skills like teamwork through group work or is that not a thing at OU?
