Before I came to uni I was worried that the social life here would revolve entirely around the clubbing scene. I'm like you, OP - I very rarely drink (I'll occasionally have a small glass of wine with a meal, but never enough to get at all drunk) but not for religious reasons and I still enjoy socialising with people. However, I've actually found that there are plenty of like-minded people at my uni, and I often go to the bar with my friends and just have soft drinks. Besides, not going clubbing means that I have the time and money to do other things like going to the theatre, which I enjoy a lot more.
Anyone who thinks less of you because you don't get drunk all the time really isn't worth the effort.
