Withdrawing money from a bank - ID?

Going on holiday soon and need to withdraw more than I can get from the cash machine.

Does anyone have experience with this - do I need to take ID or anything else with me?

You could take out the maximum from a cash machine for a couple of days.

Yeah just your card.

Though if you forget your card I believe you can take out in-branch with ID (I'm sure I have before once or twice) but might depend on bank.
