C4 Vector questions help!
I am struggling to understand the mark scheme of these 2 questions

I don't understand why there is only 1 letter (k) to be multiplied into the direction vector of Line 2, am I not supposed to multiply it by (xi, yj, zk) with 3 letters instead of one?

I have done everything right in this question except for part (e), I did it the hard way by using the sine rule. The easier way suggested by the mark scheme says AD=2AB, but not sure where that comes from.
Greatly appreciated if anyone can help me with these questions!! THANKS!
The questions come from Specimen paper and June 2015 (C34) if anyone's wondering
