I don't know much about dentistry pay but I know junior doctor pay is pretty rubbish. Family friendly/ Working hours? I assume dentistry is better, junior doctors (And doctors in general) do a lot of long shifts/on call. Happiness? Personally I think doctor would make me happier knowing you're saving other peoples lives but it depends on you as a person

Better for doing a root canal. Worse for treating a heart attack.
