Hmmm, i have debated and debated about a tv aswell. I do like mt tele, if only for a bit of gmtv when im getting ready in a morning!

Can sumone make sumthing clear for me please..............there 300+ students in our hall, and so aswell as the bar, what other like "living space" is there??

Wel thats just it, i aint sure!
Other uni's i have been to had like a common room for say every 50 students. So whilst you might come under the same hall name, the different buildings within the hall each had their own space plus a bar for everyone.

But i aint sure about Notts. Surely theres gotta be sumplace we can congrigate to small parties plus obviously richard and judy watchin

From the kitchen i saw in ancaster hall, there will be definatley no socialising in there! I was about a 1.5m sq space, where probs two people could stand up in!

So no one know about the common areas?

There is a JCR (junior common room) in each hall - this is a room. Don't get confused with the JCR committee (body of elected students who run the joint).

This usually contains a big TV and some seats, and maybe a pool table if you're lucky. And a table football table (if you're in cav).
