Working out heart rate from a pressure/time graph?

i was wondering if someone could help me by explaining to me how to work out the heart rate from a pressure/time graph please.

Something like this you mean? ...



Just look for two points that are easy to locate on each cycle of the graph and find the time taken for this. Then divide 60 by this.

For example, take the venticular pressure graph (blue line). At the point labelled "1" the time is 0.2s. In the next cycle, this same point occurs at 0.9s. So 60/(0.9-0.2) = 86 beats per minute.

because theres 60 seconds in a minute :smile:
