Information needed: 20th Century History at A-level

Hi there,

I'm a Masters student, doing a bit of research into a Cold War monitoring post in Derbyshire. My aim is to produce a conservation plan for the site and one of the things I'm looking at is how it could be restored and presented as a museum. It would be useful to know how this would tie in with how History is taught in English schools. I'm Scottish, so I've got no background in this: I've managed to find some stuff on the content of the National Curriculum for primary schools and Key Stage 3, but not for GCSE or A-level. Can anybody help me out with this, please? I'm interested in what the requirements are for 20th Century history, especially the inter- and post-war eras. I'm aware that there are multiple examination bodies in England and that each might have slightly different syllabus content, but any information would be greatly appreciated.
