I think you need to put aside the question of course fees. Remember every generation after you will be paying those fees. You need to decide whether you would be satisfied with the universities and courses which your present grades will secure. If so, go this year. If not, do you think that realistically you can significantly improve them? If so, then take a gap year. If not, go and do something else and look at university again in a few years.
