Also, alternatively you can take inverses on both sides.

Consider cos(2x) on the interval specified. You'll have 4 solutions instead of 2. You'll need to add and subtract x from pi and subtract x from 2 pi.

Don't use any identities. You're a allowed to cancel the cos' to leave you with 2x = 4pi/5

After have done so many stupid proofs which I barely understand
