Ciao ragazzi!

Finalmente, sono all'università, studiando l'italiano ogni giorno... Mi piace moltissimo, però è più difficile che cosa avevo pensato, ma lo sono divertita! Non credo che andrò all'estero l'anno prossimo... sono appen arrivata a Warwick e già stanno parlando di inviarmi in un altro paese! Anche, ho fatto in esame e mi hanno messo nella classe più avanzato con le persone per cui l'italiano è la loro madrelingue... argh! Aiutarmi!

Ma, anche, ho scoperto che mi piacciono tanto le poesie di Ungaretti. Penso che tutti debbano leggerle perché son fantastiche!

Anche, la società italiana è la migliore quiiiiiiiii!

Sì, è divertente, ma devi scegliere bene la città in cui vuoi passare l'anno...c'è veramente una difficoltà nello scegliere perché ci sono circa 20 università italiane dove si può "studiare" :wink:

Hey i'm going to start posting in this thread. I'm on my erasmus year in Bologna and i'm finding Italian hard. I had a language course at Leicester Uni to prepare but it was really basic and not really good enough. I'm learning slowly from just being here but I'm gunna add my own work. Reading newspapers and writing grammar tables mostly. Does anyone else have any recommendations of work I can do alone, along with what i'm already doing?

HI! I'm from Bologna and I'm doing my erasmus in Bristol! I think you could watch a lot of TV (not sure you'll enjoy it though, but LA7 and mtv broadcast some nice shows) and rent DVD - or borrow them from the library, in Piazza Maggiore there's the Biblioteca Sala Borsa, have you been there? Join it and you can borrow as many books and dvds you want, they have everything!
Also, you could try offering italian-english conversation at uni of at high schools -though it will be hard to obatin real conversation with teens, they'll mostly want to learn english from you, but it is worth a try, maybe some teacher will be interested. Also you could put ads outside the "British school", at the beginning of via zamboni, the one with the windows facing the towers- the door is in a small gallery on the right.

Hi! How are you liking Bristol?
Thanks alot for all that help. I have watched 2 italian films already "tre metri sopra il cielo" on DVD with english subtitles, and "la seme di discontenta" at the cinema without subtitles. Sometimes I watch the news on the TV, but mostly people speak too fast for me to understand. Also thanks for the library suggestion, I will go and have a look.
