Well, if they have given you that indication they shouldn't have done (they aren't supposed to release any information at all until tomorrow). Remember that the uni indicating that they would have given you a place. but for you wanting to be released, does not mean that you got the grades they asked for in your offer. It probably does, but it's not certain. You will have to wait, like everyone else, for tomorrow. There's certainly no basis on which you could be contacting any uni in Clearing today, even supposing that they would talk to you.

It would appear that they don't, much.

They pretty much just said that I wont be able to get released until Thursday morning but this would be done asap so I could be free to enter clearing. So on the basis that it will have to be on thursday morning, I'm assuming I made their grades as if I didn't I'm pretty sure they would have just rejected me and left it like that.
But as you said, they should not have done this which is why I didn't want to be too open on here discussing it
