Open university and my many confused thoughts....

So I applied for university this year and just missed my condition :frown:

I wouldn't mind doing a part time degree.... Because i would like to use this year for work experience as well as going abroad to volunteer for a month maximum.

I'm confused about open univeristy though... Is it part time? If i do a year of open university will i still be funded by SAAS when i reapply and go to university next year? Do universities take OU into account? because i was told at school last year that the subject qualifications weren't worth anything? :s-smilie:

Yes it's part time. I missed out my conditions for my first choice uni a couple of years ago and this year I applied to the same course again and they gave me an offer to just pass the open uni module I was doing. The module I did was 60 credits which is basically half of a first year at uni, 120 credit is one year, but if you do a whole year you can try and go into the 2nd year at a University if you want to. I live in England so I'm not sure about SAAS but I'm sure it will be fine.
