As long as you are not going to talk in the way that everyone sees it, it's up to you. I had mine pierced at the age of 16 and now 9 years later my parent's still haven't found out about it. I like the feeling of having a piercing and every time I take it out, it feels like there is something missing, like a tooth. Apart from my bf and my dentist no one really knows about it :wink:
