    C3
    3x+1........-..........2........+......4
    (x+2)^3........(x+2)^2........(x+2)

    I got the answer
    (4x+13)(x+1)
    (x+2)^3

But the answer in the book has (x+2)^2 as the denominator... Is this a typo?

That question does not give your answer or the answer you say they have provided. Typo?
I meant the answer given in the textbook was squared rather than cubed as I'd got...
