If z = cosθ + i sinθ, show that
zn + z-n = 2cos(nθ
and zn - z-n = 2i sin(nθ DONE THIS BIT
Hence deduce that
cos6θ + sin6θ = 1/8(3cos4θ + 5)
CAN'T DO THIS BIT
EDIT: A hint without full solution would be ideal...
