Is there any point in doing a masters in Maths?

I have been thinking about doing my MSc in Maths but then I thought, if I don't want to go into research, is there actually any point? Like how does it give me any advantages from having a BSc in Maths? Can I do any specialist jobs with a Maths masters that I can't with an undergraduate degree?

The obvious things that spring to mind are careers that use a highly applicable area of Maths e.g. Statistics or Operational Research.

I've met people in the past who've done Masters in various subjects, but typically they were people who either wanted to defer a career decision as long as possible, or who originally thought about research and then changed their minds!

It can't do you any harm if you can maintain your subject interest for another year and can balance out deferring earnings for a year against having an additional qualification
