i have to put the sand/shingle theory in my coursework and i dont no what it is!

Yeah i have done my coursework on how a beach changes along a two mile stretch and need to know how the sand/shingle theory may affect the gradient of the beach. if you can help that would be soooo great!

long shore drift is the most relevent theory, can draw a nice picture too. A Mann Whitney U test would prove that the beach changes by nature and not by "luck". I did this test and was useful
But mostly the Long-Shore Drift thing, o and high + low tides, if there were any berms on the beach!
