does it actually matter when u first take the pill to use extra protection when havin sex in the first 7 days??
well it does reduce the risk further of getting pregnant always best to have a back up, and you could end up forgetting to take the pilll as well.
how much does it actually matter? i started my pill 6 days ago and only finished my period yesterday..... so do i need the extra protection?

I assume you started it on the first day of your period then? In that case, you don't. The 7 day thing only applies if you start at a different point in your cycle.
