Homeostatic responses to exercise - quick question!

'During exercise, what prevents the cardiovascular, respiratory and endocrine systems from over-compensating during exercise?'

It's obviously about homeostasis, and there have already been questions on how a lack oxygen/glucose is compensated for, and also questions on thermoregulation. So i'm just sat here trying to figure it out but I really can't seem to?

The only answer I can think of, which almost seems too simple, is negative feedback loop?
Any pointers? Please please please? x
