Hello! I was just wondering if anyone has any photos of the inside of East Slope at all? I've applied for it as my first choice accommodation and as I've got an unconditional offer, it's pretty likely I'll get so I just wanted to know what I'm letting myself in for! Cheers XXX
Nope. But i also have unconditional offer and put it down as my first choice. Looks like we'll be neighbours - wooooooooo - We gonna party HARD - ALL THE TIME!!
hey, sorry no photos, but i've seen the slope. inside rooms looked pretty small, with kind of cardboard-chipping-esque walls/ceilings to my recollections. but, i thought the rooms rather cosy, and the kitchen area/social area wasn't too bad either. if you can cope with a little less personal space than normal then it should be fine i think i'm going for it as first choice too, will be fun!
Yay, many a neighbour to play with! Thought it was just gonna be me on my lonesome! If anyone can even describe it, like the layout etc, it would be fair useful cause I can't even picture the inside. How much fun are we gonna have?! X
i lived there in my first year - best place ever to live. you go in and theres like a kitchen which goes into the dining room/lounge bit, bathroom off here and then two corridors with some rooms on each. bedrooms have like bed, desk, wardrobe, chest of drawers etc. big windows, and the refurbed ones are phat, thats where i was. seriously wicked!
Stillll haven't sent off my form, but East Slope is down as my first choice. In pencil, because I have a horrible feeling that I should try for Lewes Court.
If you havn't sent off your form yet, I would say you're chances of getting Lewes Court would be pretty minimal surely..
Saying that, I don't know how accomodation is allocated. But surely it would have to be a first-come-first-serve basis? Hence why conditionals are allocated accomodation first.

That's what I thought, but apparently, it doesn't matter what time you sent your form in, you've still got an equal chance of getting into the accommodation as anyone else. I guess it makes sense because not everyone got all their offers back really quickly
I think the allocation of accomodation is a bit of a mystery to everyone. Put down whatever you like but bear in mind that either way you'll probably wind up in East Slope

Do you mean unconditionals? And I dunno, I was told that they don't do anything with the forms until results arrive - but yeah, it would make sense that people who have an earlier date on their forms would get their first choice. East Slope it is.

They say they don't do anything with teh forms of conditional people until results are in to make it fair - i always thought that sounded ridiculous like they were making loads more work for themselves (why leave it all til august?!) but I was in lewes court and one of my flatmates sent his form off really late and didn't expect to get it all but still did so who knows! Sussex seem to have an entirely random system of allocation, i swear!
Woo, I've just got my tenancy agreement! I'm in East Slope 013E, anyone else? Does anyone know anything about this flat? Whereabouts on the slop, number of people in it etc..

Actually theyd be making a lot more work for thyemselves if they allocated accomodation to everyone before results, then had to change it all around when some people didn't make the grades.
