Pharmacology vs Chemistry?

I'm currently a year 12 student, and ultimately I'd either like to work in either toxicology or drug design, though I'm not sure which. As I understand it, my two main options are to study chemistry, then do a MSc in pharmacology something similar (e.g. drug design), or study pharmacology and then do an MSc in something more specialised. On the whole, I'm more attracted to the pharmacology BSc courses, but would chemistry give me better employment prospects? Also, even though I'm not sure I'd enjoy the course as much, would pharmacy be a better option?
