Gauss Law

Hey there ,

I've a question I'd really appreciate it if someone can help me with:

A non-uniform but spherically symmetric distribution of charge has a charge density P(r) given by

for r < or = R
for r > or = R

where

is a positive constant
(a) Show that the total charge contained in the charge distribution is Q.
(b) Show that the electric field in the region r R is identical to that produced by a point charge Q at r = 0.
(c) Obtain an expression for the electric field in the region r R.
(d) Graph the electric-field magnitude E as a function of r.
(e) Find the value of r at which the electric field is maxim, and find the value of that maximum field.

I just need a hint for the (e) part to start with

Thanks!

Nobody is going to do your homework for you, be more specific, show your working, show where you are stuck.

For the first one use: QT=p(r) dV Q_T = \int p(\mathbf{r})\ dV
