The Student Room Group

The Los Zetas the most dangerous criminal gang on the planet?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Zetas

They seem to be untouchable and have bombed police in the past as well as caused incredibly sucessful prison riots that resulted in the "liberating" of Los Zetas members and the death of members of rival cartels.

Its actually really silly as their power as with all the cartels has grown with assistance from the United States stance on drugs which drives up the value of their products. Without the state assisted drug trade, they wouldn't be able to conduct other areas of their business and evade the law in the way they can.

Shariah would not stop them. The Los Zetas are incredibly organised and so far are arguably demolishing the Mexican authorities.

I think even without the US stance on drugs they would thrive.

Yes, a Sharia government is needed! Even though the government is effectively in a Civil War

Its the Zetas vs the Sinaloa and CDG vs the Government.

The richest and most powerful openly criminal enterprises on the planet all happen to be located south of the US boarder. There is exists a condition that allows them to thrive more so than anywhere else in the world, and its not the weather.

I am aware of that however, I feel it is incompetence within the government itself which has a huge role to play.
Its Obama, with all the **** under his control he could potentially do anything (nuclear war etc) and no one could do anything about it

How do you know that? Technically, he could do whatever he wants and it would still be legal, as he kind of sets the laws.

Presidents still have some deference to legality, eg the Watergate Scandal.
