3 main mutagenic agents

Does any one know the three main ones and what they do as well? Really need this for my homework, which of course I have only just started now..... thanks guys!

Radiation sources (alpha, beta, gamma) are some obvious ones.

Some chemicals are also mutagens: i.e. Benzene is a known carcinogen.
Also think about the chemicals in cigarettes which increase cancer.

There are also some biological agents, but these are not as common a cause as the above.

The 3 main ones, which the poster above has described already, are physical, chemical and biological. There are others as well. You can simply wiki it, and come up with a good explanation :smile:
