Best Teacher you've had??

I'm still in secondary school but at the moment it has to be my Year 7 English teacher or my Year 9 Technology, the guy was a legend, once a guy drew a drawing so badly and the teacher said it looked like a penis, if the guy didn't draw it right, he was going to add things that looked like sperm on his drawing and show it to his parents, which he did, but when he taught us he was one mean guy, but you couldn't hate him, his insults we're over the top and swore regularly, legend has it that he was also on a porn site in school and when we asked him he laughed it off and said you gotta do what you gotta do.

Yeah I can't beat that (I'm a teacher).
My GCSE chemistry teacher - before gcse if you said chemistry I'd have been all :erm: meh. Now I love it so much  I don't think I would have ever thought about a career in Science if he hadn't been my teacher :yep:
I never had any of my teachers. My biology teacher was the object of many teenage fantasy but alas it was never to be.

Unless you meant something else?

Did you let them know? It's things like that that really keep a teacher going when the days are tough.
Some guy who told a joke before a maths test. I was the only one laughing. Awkward moments. :colondollar:

I think your perception of best teacher has become mixed with good personality.
Your teacher just sounds like a good laugh.

I've had teachers who were able to get the class laughing and engaging in constructive discussion without having to resort to vulgar or insulting methods.
I thought a good teacher was one who helps you understand concepts very easily. I thought wrong didn't I?

yeah pretty much, hence why i did mention my year 7 english teacher at first
My science teacher in year 9 was awesome. He was funny but firm when necessary so people knew not to cross the line with him. I remember we were learning about plants and adaptation and stuff and he said something like "what does [insert tall boy's name here] and a cactus have in common...they're both big pricks!".
I remember this other time where we were doing a test for CO2 where if you blew into this liquid (think it was lime water...I really don't remember anything from GCSE science these days despite the As loool) it would turn cloudy. On purpose, my science teacher said, "remember, blow, don't suck!" . he also made various other crude jokes I don't remember. He left his room open at lunch time so anyone could come in and chill if they didn't want to go outside (which was me and a few friends 99% of the time) and chatted to us and offered us fruit and such.

My maths teacher in year 11 was brilliant too. He was funny and laid back but was even worse than my science teacher When angry. I had really disliked maths in previous years with **** teachers. It didn't help that I was in top set but often felt like the teachers were focused on the really advanced students and acted like everyone else would follow suit. However, my maths teacher in year 11 focused on everyone equally and had really cool ways of explaining things people found difficult. He made most things seem really easy and I don't think I would have got an A so easily in maths without him. He made me really enjoy maths!

I also really liked my geography teacher I had from year 7-11. Even though there was no space for me and a few others in the higher class in year 10 & 11, she still made sure we would achieve good grades despite being in a foundation class. In fact, I think that made it easier because the teacher in the other class wasn't that good and I liked the way she explained things so they could apply to everyone. She was always free and willing to help me in her free time and and always encouraged me to do well.

Although my form tutor only taught me maths in year 7, he really made me feel comfortable at times where I felt separated from everyone else and like I didn't fit in. He knew I was introverted and understood me. I think understanding that I was introverted and not just quiet made me realise there was nothing wrong with me and that I'm fine just the way I am. I think he was a good teacher in terms of the moral support he gave me. It made a mostly miserable time in my tutor group (and sometimes at the school in general) seem more bearable.

Although I have singled all of these teacher out as being some of the best I've ever had, I think I have more worst teacher stories. I have some good teachers from primary school but it's too much effort to make flashbacks now lol.

I've edited this like 8 times to keep adding more haha.
