of course but people like to feel like they've had a decent (ha!) meal for a small amount of money. Eating mcdonalds salad is just crap, and going into Boots or something and buying a sandwich is a) less accessible than mcdonalds (usually) and b) it feels like they're being ripped off. People don't like to feel ripped off.


Well that's their fault then. Who cares if they "dont like to feel ripped off" - I dont like to feel that I'm paying more money into the NHS than I should because these parents/adults feel they need to eat crap in order to avoid feeling shafted.

PLus - you can go to Pret and have a very nice sandwich for very little...

It's just, if cost is an issue, make you own bloody sandwiches. Make as many as you like, and make them as filling as you like. Provided you don't get all your materials from M&S it should be dirt cheap.

So the "healthy and filling food costs too much" argument just strikes me as laziness.
