Hey everyone!

I was born and live in Hull, so if anyone needs advice on locations, specialist shops and where to buy things, clubs (and which are the cheapest around), then I'm your girl!

I only enrolled on Wednesday, so it's all a bit of a rush but I'm rather excited. Hopefully the loan forms etc won't take forever to come through. Thank god I work part-time (ooh, if anyone wants to meet me, I work in Lush!).

Anyone else taking German?

Are you familiar with Cottingham and the Lawns accomodation?

If so, how far is the Lawns from the closest kebab shop, Subway and off license?

Markles: *thinks* I'm sure that the nearest Subway is down Cottingham Road, which will be about five minutes from the Uni itself. There's also one down Newland Avenue, which is about 10 minutes from the Uni. There's two in the City Centre, also.

Kebab shops are ten-a-penny around here. There will be one within walking distance, no doubts about it. Same for Off-licenses, most corner shops will stock alcohol, and I'd be surprised if there isn't a 'Bargain Booze' somewhere near the Lawns :wink:

Hurricane_Herd: I'm from East Hull, near Sutton (so I will have a bit of a trek every day!), but am familiar with all areas of Hull.
