Can something be so easy that you find it difficult?

I study both Chemistry and biology at A2. Unlike others, I find biology soooo much more difficult than chemistry. I love chemistry and plan to study it at uni. Biology seems really dull and just generally difficult for me to understand, especially ecology (which a lot of people in my class find a breeze). I told my teacher this and he told me "you probably find it difficult because it's a lot more simple than chemistry". When she said this, I just thought "how is that possible "
So back to my question. Is it possible something seen as relatively straight forward by most be difficult to understand by someone else? Is it to with the way people's brain work?

If you think it is boring, you may not pay as much attention in class, don't engage with the lessons or take part in discussions, you might not ask questions about stuff you're not sure on, since you don't care that much that you understand it or not. Hence you miss important subtleties and drop marks.
