Abolish French and speak English partout? Fat chance, but there are some points supporting it.

For one it would make the process of legislation and law enforcement much simpler. Canada and Québec are practically two different countries due to the language difference, and you can be arrested for things in one that are perfectly normal in the other. It might also encourage a bit more tourism - English is more widely spoken. It would also abolish the need to print every single commercial product with both English and French translations, which could encourage more commerce, and would certainly save the average Joe Bloggs a bit of grief trying to work out what le grille is.

Just kidding, I hope Québec will keep on speaking French for a loooooooooong time !
