What does a maintenance loan cover?

I am in my first year at uni and am thinking about where I will be living next year. Alot of friends have asked if i want to move in with them next year in a student house but I have plans to move out with my boyfriend next year instead. I am just wondering if the loan that covers my living in halls at the moment (maintenance loan?) will cover a house that is not a student or university managed house. Thanks!

The maintenance loan we offer is for you to spend on what is required whilst in study such as books, materials, accommodation, etc. It's up to you where you stay and the rate we will offer you will remain the same regardless.
