Really easy anarchism questions too
Ok, anyone who did the Liberalism 45 markers can you help me out and tell me if what i wrote was ok.

para 1: Formal and foundational, defined. Formal I said a bit on corruption of power and how under a hierarchical system ones with a higher social status may abuse their power.

para 2: equality of opp, defined and said how it can be achieved (social libs = welfare state to give opp to less well off) and idea of paternalism (father son relationship) and that as individual is rational it is in their best interest to help (developmental individualism)

para 3: somehow did something on toleration. Idea that everyone has a right to an equal opinion and that only in the market place of ideas will the truth emerge (won't know what is right if ideas are suppressed)

para 4: contrast between modern and classical lib in economic terms (i.e. one believing equality is from state intervention and other believing it is from laissez faire)
Kind of happy with the questions.

The anarchism/individualism question I had revised moments before.
Don't think I'll get high marks on the socialism 15 marker.

I did conservatism for the 45 marker as I guessed it would be that and liberalism equality that came up. Think I babbled for most of it.

same. god bless.
I tackled this a bit different the liberal question a bit different it seems:
Intro
FOR: Liberal democracy - one vote one person supports equality
FOR: Justice all individuals equal in the eyes of the law
FOR: Toleration - all views and associations should be up be upheld in society.. expanded how that aligned with equality

Against: Social Darwinism
Against: Rationality a product of education, education distributed unequally
Against: Classical form of Equality provides vast inequality and poverty.. developmental equality.... inequality virtue by birth into varying social conditions

Conclusion

To our advantage, there is no negative marking, as long as it answers the question it should be fine and I did best I could to answer the question.
I'm so terrible at politics so I don't anyone did the same thing as me for the liberalism essay but...

Intro.
AGAINST: Classical liberal belief in a minimal state, doesn't allow for individuals to have the same starting point in life.
FOR: Modern liberal belief in an enabling state, allowing individuals the opportunity to achieve despite social background and disadvantages. Welfare.
AGAINST: Social Darwinism - 'survival of the fittest'.
FOR: Social Welfare - social housing, benefits to help those less fortunate, allowing them the same opportunity.
AGAINST: Laissez faire, minimal interference in the market, can be arguably equal but also no at the same time.
FOR: Keynesian economy.
Conclusion.

edit: I was planning to write about the whole formal equality, foundational equality and equality of opportunity but I didn't know anything about it... just the types of equality. ;-;

I don't even knowwww. ;-; I wrote 4 sides... I'm hoping for like 30/45.

My 15 markers on the other hand were so fricken' bad. Anarchist question (5) I only wrote a paragraph. Question 4 I wrote 2 sides but the last two paragraphs were more on the positive functions of freedom not the differences. I did write vaguely about positive and negative freedom...? And then the socialism revolutionary road... I didn't plan to do it because I didn't revise socialism, thought I could leave it out, but I wrote like two paragraphs on it... I spent so much more time on the essay. Lack of revision and not reading and choosing the right questions was my problem...

Bleh. Hoping for like 45+/90.
Can anyone take a guess at what the grade boundaries will be?
I ended up doing 2, 4 and 5 for the 15 markers (trad. Cons/liberal New Right on society, liberalism and freedom, anarchism and positive human nature). My structure went a little (lots) out of the window, but I think I got 80% of the indicative content in... I hope! Most of my course group did the same three, though some did the revolutionary road to socialism one instead of the anarchism or conservative one.

I also chose the Conservative 45 marker (as I had literally just planned it before the exam LOL), I loved the question. My peers' choices, however, were mixed. I just hope I got enough content in - I panicked a bit during. :s-smilie:

Anyone have any clues about the grade boundaries? I'm guessing probably roughly the same as last year.
That could not have been a better paper!!! Did Socialism, Anarchism individualism, conservatism 15 markers, and Socialism 45 markers. Did not read the liberalism 15 marker so I'm kicking myself but apparently it was really easy!
The 45 were repeats?? I hadn't seen the Liberal or Conservative one before?!!

I did! I quite liked it.

I talked about (because there was very little "no" argument, as said so by my teacher who planned it with us) authoritarian conservatism, the new right (neocons view mainly) and the traditional view of human nature as a tenet paragraph, and for a small "no" counterpoint I spoke a little bit about the liberal new right and one-nationism but as there wasn't much of a "no" to argue it wasn't as "meaty" as my other paragraphs - more of a debate paragraph, if you will.

don't worry about it, they will still mark it. the examiners are just going to have to figure out which ones you did so it's not a problem
