The rise of ISIS documentary

There's an exceptionally good documentary online, a PBS Frontline one, about the rise of ISIS, about how the Maliki government was torturing and executing Sunnis, about the the legitimate Sunni protest movement against that, about how ISIS co-opted that.

The documentary is extremely graphic, some of the footage they showed just looks like an abattoir, very disturbing. But it's also the best explanation I've seen for why ISIS arose in the way it did

That was an extremely interesting documentary, although I must admit I couldn't watch some of the footage.

Excellent documentary that fills several gaps.

America's 2003 invasion of Iraq that sparked a sectarian war also lead to the rise of ISIS. Saudi Arabia was also instrumental.
