Funny how everyone - John Oliver, Cruz, Rubio, etc - bash Trump with immature jokes, yet he still rips them apart on the polls.
He's already fighting against Clinton, and he knows it.

Can't wait for Question Time again this week where every single panellist says he isn't a contender. Yeah, right.
When will people take him seriously? He's storming to the white house, and it will honestly be the best thing for the US.
Build the wall. Remove the illegals. Stop Muslim immigration. Take care of the vets. Do what's best for America, Trump!

Congress would never pass a law 'banning Muslim immigration'. Or if they did, they would be scorned by the rest of the world. Anyway, they wouldn't want to - rich Muslims bring a lot of wealth into the country, including to Trump - many of them are buyers of his properties and guests in his hotels.

Trump doesn't really mean it you know. He just wants the votes of people who think that way. He's a con man.

I think America would implode if Jesus came down and did not respect the will of the people. Do we stick with the religion or do we pick freedom?

The way the US is now, if there was a Second Coming and Jesus arrived in the US, he would have to seek the support of Goldman Sachs.

Would imagine his type of vote would transfer to Trump or Cruz anyway. Kasich/Rubio is the real prize transfer however with Rubio trading off a false image and Kasich the best of the two i can't say i want him to step aside yet.

I disappointed in kasich, I wanted him to better than he has done, my preferred republican if I don't include some of trumps come backs which have at time been golden.

Carson's continued tenacity to stay in, despite having no hope and virtually no delegates suggests something dodgy is going on with his campaign.

It seems to be some sort of money making scheme for his friends.

Well... there is a Jew, anti-establishment, pro-poor, self-proclaimed socialist who likes to shouts things "corporations" don't like, and wants to heal the sick and the poor... hmmmmmmmmmm.... :colone::colone::colone:

There are rumours that he is only staying to sell more books.

It could go either way. The ban wouldn't apply to Muslim US Citizens, remember. It would just be another immigration law, and many of those are passed.

Whether you believe he will deliver or not is up to you, but that same philosophy therefore applies to every other candidate.

what about Muslim looking non-Muslim? or non-Muslim looking Muslim? I understand just reducing immigration in general, but how does one enforce a Muslim-only policy without having a completely incompetent and messed-up system?

Can you imagine the furore that would greet attempts by the US President to push through an immigration law that specifically banned members of a specific religion?

I think we have to be realistic about this, Trump is a sound bite merchant and a ********ter and a good one, but that doesn't make any of what he says realistically do-able.
It's such a shame that Sanders didn't win Massachusetts, a place he could have and should have won. Then it would have been his five states to Clinton's six (in terms of Super Tuesday).

He did better than expected... although not winning MA was a blow (damn you Elizabeth Warren... and Bill!), don't count him out yet.

He'll probably drop out when he wakes up from his nap.

The feeling I got from Super Tuesday is that the race is still competitive on both sides. Clinton may have won more states overall, but Sanders won most of the states where the polling was ambiguous going in, so he's very much still in this thing, especially since we're mostly out of the south. As for the Republican side, Cruz's firewall of Texas held strong, and the rest of the field did well enough between them that they've held on to their slim chance of stopping Trump.

At least is was close, thus winning him some delegates. But, yeah, Mass should've been a solid win for Sanders. Shame.

All this is true... but... the candidate with the "mo" (momentum) is often (at this stage) the one that finally does it. Not always, but history strongly points in that direction.

A lot seems to have changed this time and I think it is in large part due to the proportionate primaries. This has kept people in the race.

In one sense Hillary did worse than Trump but Hillary gained momentum from Tuesday; whereas Trump at best only maintained what he already had and arguably lost ground by not finishing off either Rubio or Cruz.

The present position is that Trump has 316 delegates and "others" have 365. He needs 50%+1 and he is currently on around 46%.

PS One of my previous postings was wrong when I said candidates who had "suspended" their campaigns kept their delegate pledges. This year they are formally released on suspension (but obviously Bush loyalists are likely to be swayed by what Bush says about on whom to cast their ballots etc etc)

It is very difficult to see any express religious discrimination as being consistent with the First Amendment.
