Calorimetry experiments heating water?

Would increasing the volume of water you heat in a Calorimetry experiment when a fuel is burned increase or decrease heat loss and therefore make the experiment less or more accurate?

If you doubled the volume of water used then the temperature rise would be halved since there is twice as much solution to heat up, however there would be no overall effect on the energy released (Q) as the mass is doubled as well (using more water).
