Are the smiths better than the beatles?

In my opinion they are/were thoughts?

Well it's pretty subjective. But I personally think The Smiths are better. I know it's unpopular but I honestly think that the Beatles are one of the biggest over hyped bands of all time. I think what they did when they first started was revolutionary, unfortunately their music is not timeless, such as Frank Sinatra.

As I say, this is just my opinion.

Hmm. Good question.
I believe they are/were. But that's just my opinion
Like the above poster said, the beatles are quite overrated but they did revolutionise music at the time though.
I just prefer the smiths
