15/03/16 - 63 days to go!
So today was another really good day and was the UCAS Bristol Exhibition trip! However I did still have one lesson, politics, which wasn't too bad although we were given another 25 marker. So many essays it's unbearable! Oh well, it's all for the greater good.
The UCAS trip was really interesting and informative. With a few of my friends, we went around most of the stalls and I picked up pretty much every prospectus for the unis I'm at least vaguely interested in. I also asked questions about GCSE results and AS FM. Bath said my results were fine, as did St Andrews, and although they said FM wouldn't make me more competitive they said it would provide good prep for the course. So I'm definitely doing AS FM after both the approval of teachers and unis. I also went to see some of the companies and their apprenticeship schemes - all were great, however KPMG's sponsored degree is very enticing.
Obviously I'm going to research more into the unis, however I'm fairly set on applying to:
- Surrey
- Bath
- St Andrews
- Reading
- Cambridge (if I get 95% average)
- Exeter (if I don't get 95% average)
Just need to work really hard from now until June to achieve the AS results I need!
Once I got home I arranged all the lovely prospectuses on my shelf in alphabetical order, really pushing the boat out lol, and then revised a fair chunk of C2. Managed to cover all the algebra stuff, binomial expansion and trig equations in 3 hours! Tomorrow is kinematics revision, eeeek, haven't done this stuff since November lmao. This is going to be interesting.
